In our area most primary schools are under equipped and not subsidized enough. Before we opened the library at the Sisterhood Land meeting point the school had 1 book for 60 students.
Now, with over 6000 books we purchased, we managed to bring this ration up to 1 book for 2 students.
We would like to do the same in other primary schools in the area. With the teachers being very few, classes being too big, access to text books is the only way for many kids to progress in their studies.
