Uvi Foundation for Education is a Tanzanian NGO based in the Usambara mountains.

     The NGO started in May 2023 as an extension of education and development efforts of a private company A. D. Views Management owned by Dagmara Ikiert (Poland) and Abdulkadir Kaniki (Tanzania). As an investor in the rural area of Mambo and Mtae, the company directors believe strongly that education is the most important tool for societies to grow. That’s why the Uvi Foundation for Education was born as an implementing structure registered under Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002 with registration number ooNGO/R/4668.

     We create real space for learning, exchange and discussion among young women and girls, where they can support each other in their educational aspirations. The main goal of the projects is to build a strong, female society. Better educated, better prepared for professional work young women are better citizens, better mothers, more active members of the local community.

     The first project was founded in 2020 with the support of the Polish Aid program (Development Fund by the Polish Ministry of Foreign affairs).  More than 500 children are currently participating in the initiative, in different projects.
